What is Air France's baggage policy for international flights?

Air France checked baggage policy.

  • Travelers are allowed to carry a maximum weight of up to 23 kg if they have purchased an economy or premium economy flight. Apart from that, other higher cabin fares are allowed to carry up to 32 kg of weight. 
  • The baggage size is the linear sum of dimensions that must be within 158 cm, which includes wheels and handles; it would be better to measure your baggage before packing your stuff.
  • Anyhow your checked baggage is found to be more than the given allowance, then it will be considered oversized or overweight baggage, and action will be taken accordingly. 
  • There will be excess baggage fees, and the airline will charge you if the baggage allowance limit is exceeded. 
  • Normally, one checked baggage and one carry-on is allowed per person per ticket, but Flying Blue members can add one extra bag to their checked baggage allowance for free.
  • La Premiere class passengers have the option to carry three bags with them. 
  • Infants also have their own baggage allowance that will be added to the ticket in case you are traveling with infants, and that includes 1 checked bag up to 10 kg, 1 stroller, and 1 car seat, but they can't have any seat, you must carry them on your lap.

  • Travelers are allowed to carry a maximum weight of up to 12 kg in case they have purchased an economy or premium economy flight ticket. Business and first-class travelers also have an 18 kg weight allowance. 
  • The baggage size must be within 55 x 35 x 25 in cm, including the wheel and handles.
  • Passengers of Air France are allowed to take one carry-on bag and one personal item with themselves on the plane. Only Business-class and First-class (La Premiere) travelers have a carry-on allowance of two bags.
  • Some restrictions on the carriage of liquid, paste, and cream include placing them in a transparent, closed plastic container that must not exceed 100ml and have a transparent appearance. 
  • Your personal item must be within the limit of 30 x 40 x 15 in cm in size, and that may include a jacket, cost, umbrella, small backpack, laptop, tablet, any duty-free accessories, and more. 
  • Exceeding the allowed limit of your carry-on bag or item will require it to be checked at the gate, and it will be considered as checked luggage.
